COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. Carolyn J. (Majercin) Nantz, 62, a resident of Colorado Springs, Colo., since 1969, passed away at her home with her husband Eric, and her two sons, Devin and Matthew, by her side on Friday, Jan. 21, 2011.
She was born Oct. 29, 1948, in Danville, the daughter of Carl and Marge Majercin, who have preceded her in death, but she is survived by her three sisters, Shirley Brewer, Melanie Majercin and Pamela Majercin of Danville; and two brothers, Jeffrey Majercin of Danville and Douglas (Carolyn) Majercin of Mansfield.
Carolyn was retired from AT&T after 30 years of customer service. In her retirement, she enjoyed doing the things she loved, baking, cooking and gardening. Her loves were her husband and children, her collection of Beanie Babies, Precious Moments figurines, dolls, hummingbirds, angels, candles and Colorado?s wildlife.
A celebration of Carolyn Nantz's life will begin at 10 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 27, at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, A Life Celebration Home, 3940 N. Vermilion St., in Danville, with inurnment to follow at Sts. Peter and Paul Cemetery in Westville. Visitation for family and friends will be 4-8 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 26, at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Pikes Peak Hospice and Palliative Care. E-mail condolences may be sent to the family at www.sunsetfuneralhome.com.
